An engagement session is the one time you get photographs of the two of you as you actually are — no dress code, no guest list, no schedule. It's also the best thing you can do for your wedding photos: by the day itself you'll know how I work, where to look, and how it feels to be photographed together.
Ninety minutes is enough for a headland and a beach, a city laneway and a harbour sunset. All images, fully edited, back to you within 48 hours.

How the session runs
Ninety minutes, unhurried
We meet and settle in
The first ten minutes are the hardest part for almost everyone. We start with a short walk and a chat, no camera in your face, until the nerves fall away.
Portraits that feel like you
A mix of guided moments and space to just be together. I direct only where it helps — where to stand for the light, where to put your hands — then let the rest happen.
A second location if time allows
Ninety minutes is enough for a beach and a headland, or a city laneway and the harbour. We drive short distances and shoot as we go.
Edited and delivered in 48 hrs
Every image, fully edited, in a shareable online gallery within two days — plus a highlights reel set to music you can post straight away.

Vine rows, long ridgelines and old sandstone, about an hour inland. Worth the drive for the light, and there is no travel fee for it.
Hunter Valley weddingsSydney
I travel down the coast for Sydney couples, roughly two hours from Newcastle. The harbour, the Rocks, the beaches south of the city, or somewhere that already means something to you.

Pair it with your wedding collection
Every wedding package can carry the engagement session for $700 on top, plus a second photographer for $700 if you'd like two angles on the day. The engagement session runs on its own date, so you don't need to have it planned at booking — we lock it in once your wedding date is confirmed.
