01
The setting
The climate-controlled White Chapel is the centrepiece — bright, clean and photogenic from every angle. The barn reception space sits alongside it, and the estate's gardens and vines give plenty of variety for portraits without ever leaving the grounds.
02
The light
The chapel's white interior bounces light around beautifully, so indoor ceremony shots stay soft and flattering. Outside, the gardens catch golden hour cleanly, and the barn's warm interior takes over once the sun is down.
03
The flow
Chapel ceremony, garden drinks, barn reception. Because accommodation is on site, the schedule can breathe — no convoy of cars between locations, and the party can run late without anyone needing to drive.
Photographer's perspective
A note on the light
The White Barn is one of the easiest venues I work at, logistically — everything is on one site, the chapel and the barn are a two-minute walk apart, and the gardens give you five different backdrops without ever getting in a car. The chapel interior is bright white, which bounces light around beautifully, but it also means I underexpose by a stop to keep the detail in the dress.
